Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using AI Agent Clean (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are between you and the developer (“we,” “us”) and supplement Apple’s Media Services Terms and Mac App Store rules where applicable.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference. Apple is the distributor on the Mac App Store; Apple is not a party to these Terms but controls App Store purchases, refunds, and subscription management.

2. Description of Service

AI Agent Clean is a macOS utility that may include, without limitation:

• Smart Scan — combined cleanup, protection, and performance scan
• Cleanup — system junk, AI Agent Clean, mail attachments, trash bins
• Protection — malware scan, privacy cleanup
• Performance — optimization and maintenance tasks
• Apps — uninstaller, updater
• Files — Space Lens, large/old files, duplicates, secure shredder
• Menu bar helper — optional login item and quick scans
• Shortcuts / Siri (optional) — App Intents to open modules or start scans

The App is not an official Apple product. Features may change without notice.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the App on Mac computers you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, circumvent paywalls, use the App unlawfully, or remove proprietary notices.

Portions of the App are open source under BSD-3-Clause.

4. Free Features, Trial & Subscriptions

4.1 Free Trial

• A 7-day local trial begins on first launch.
• During the trial, all features are available.
• After the trial, scanning remains free; premium actions show the paywall.
• Expired users see a subscription reminder at most once every 24 hours.

4.2 Products

* Actual prices are shown in the App Store for your region. Subscription group: AI Agent Clean Premium.

4.3 Auto-Renewal (Apple-required disclosure)

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in System Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• Payment is processed by Apple; refunds follow Apple’s policies.
• Use Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases in the App to restore prior purchases.

4.4 Direct Download (DMG / Homebrew)

Non–App Store builds may include developer subscription toggles. Real purchases and receipt validation apply only to the Mac App Store release. Direct downloads may check GitHub for updates.

5. Permissions & Your Responsibilities

• Some features require Full Disk Access, folder selection, or a Login Item, which you grant voluntarily.
• Cleanup, uninstall, and secure erase may permanently delete data. Review selections carefully and back up important files.
• Malware scanning is not a substitute for professional security tools.
• Maintenance tasks may briefly affect performance.
• You are responsible for how you use the App and for outcomes of your actions.

6. Privacy

See the Privacy Policy. Processing is local-first; optional Firebase diagnostics can be disabled in Settings.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO APPLE FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; THOSE LIMITS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

9. Termination

We may cease support if you breach these Terms. You may uninstall at any time. Lifetime purchases and active subscriptions remain governed by Apple receipts.

10. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with applicable export and sanctions laws.

11. Governing Law

Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply. Where permitted, these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules), with disputes subject to courts where the developer is established, without limiting App Store consumer remedies.

12. Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms by posting a new effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
